The October Boofest on October 27 at the Morristown Park had a bright and cheery visitor and if you have not guessed already, it was Raggedy Ann. It brings back many childhood memories if that special doll at cold always put a smile on anyone's face. Well, our own Yvonne Wheeler really got with it and dressed up for the occasion. We hope it brings back some good childhood memories for you. It did for me.

BEAN SUPPER BIG SUCCESS

The annual Bean Supper was held on Saturday, March 14th from 5:00-7:00pm. Despite the rain all day, there was a good turnout for the event. We had a romp, stompin' time as everyone was served beans, corn bread, slaw and their choice of a dessert. I know the desserts were especially good as several people went back for seconds and one person went back three times for the great pies and cakes that were provided by many church members.
The food was great and as well as the fellowship. Many folks visited for over an hour before getting up and leaving the dinner. I truly believe the music from the string-pickin guitars kept everyone's interest and the great 'ole song, "Rocky Top Tennessee," was a hoop hollaring, knee slappin', hand clappin' super success enjoyed by everyone.
A big thanks to all of the volunteers that worked in the kitchen cooking the beans, corn bread and making the slaw, plus serving, dish washing, making and serving the beverages, as well as the ladies who helped clear tables and keep tables open for all of our guests. A special thanks to all who bought tickets and visited our church on Saturday afternoon. We hope to see all of you again next year and bring a guest with you next time.
