Guess who this is?

The October Boofest on October 27 at the Morristown Park had a bright and cheery visitor and if you have not guessed already, it was Raggedy Ann.  It brings back many childhood memories if that special doll at cold always put a smile on anyone's face.  Well, our own Yvonne Wheeler really got with it and dressed up for the occasion.  We hope it brings back some good childhood memories for you.  It did for me.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PPR COMMITTEE

What is a PPR committee?  The abbreviation stands for Pastor Parish Relations and as the name implies, we are responsible for maintaining a positive and effective relationship between the Pastor and the congregation. But our responsibility in this area is not limited to just the Pastor. It also includes all of the staff of Trinity. This relationship building is not the only responsibility we have, but as you can probably understand, it is a very important one if we are going to be a vibrant and successful church.

Commencing with the year 2009, we now have a new Mission Statement. It is WIN..DISCIPLE..SERVE. Your PPR committee is committed to this mission statement, so our primary focus, as it relates to the Pastor and the church staff, will be to ensure that they are doing all the things necessary to accomplish this stated mission of Trinity United Methodist Church. It is important though, for us to acknowledge and understand that if we are to accomplish this mission statement, the responsibility falls on all of us as a congregation. The Pastor and staff, by themselves, can not accomplish this mission.

Your PPR committee is made up of a number of talented and dedicated individuals who understand the responsibilities they are charged with as it relates to being a member of this very important function of the church. As we go through the year 2009, you, as a member of this church, will probably have a suggestion and/or idea that you feel can help us as a church achieve our mission statement. If it should involve a member of the church staff, please feel free to contact one or more members of the committee and present your suggestion/idea. Remember, we are all here to advance God's kingdom here on earth and we feel that our mission statement does just that.

We look forward to serving you.
