Issue:
There is no food sources for the homeless on weekends and many people have nothing to eat as there is no where to go to for all food pantry services for the homeless are closed on weekends.
Objective:
As Christians, we need to do whatever part we can contribute to try and aid these people as much as can be financially supported by the Fellowship class. In all actuality, we have a donor that will provide the funding each month for this project. I will leave the family name out at this time as I do not have permission to publicize this information, but we all know them and we all love what they are constantly doing for our church and our community.
Therefore, in December, the Fellowship Sunday School class has embarked on a courageous journey of feeding the homeless in December and next year. We are packing an estimated 25 plus boxes of food and they will be distributing on an as come, first served basis on Christmas morning. We will have scheduled food packing days, bulk food pickup days from specific grocery stores and food distribution days throughout 2012 or as long as the needs are present.

Packing up boxes and getting ready for distribution on Christmas morning. A big thank you for all that could volunteer and help pack boxes on December 17th. There were over a dozen volunteers from the Fellowship class and it only took about 1 hour to pack over 80 boxes of food.
